Wiltshire Air Ambulance is welcoming supporters in to their base today (Wednesday 6th September) for a 'brew with the crew'.

The pilots and paramedics will be joining supporters for an afternoon tea at Semington, subject to operations.

It's part of the National Air Ambulance Week, raising awareness of the work of life-saving services like Wiltshire's.

It costs £4 million a year to continue flying the helicopter and running their rapid response cars.

The charity receives no regular direct Government funding or National Lottery grants.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s community fundraising coordinator Kat Bowhay said:

“This is a great opportunity for the community to come together with your local air ambulance.

“It’s a great way to celebrate National Air Ambulance Week 2023 and help support the charity’s lifesaving service while enjoying some tasty treats.”

The charity's hosting a series of events at their base in Semington for National Air Ambulance Week

Other events are being planned at the WAA airbase this week too - including guided tours tomorrow (Thursday 7th) and a Craft Fayre on Friday (8th September).
