Wiltshire Air Ambulance having annual service
The service's helicopter is out of action while checks are carried out
Wiltshire's Air Ambulance helicopter is out of action for the time being.
It's undergoing its annual service and checks - which take place each October.
The routine inspection is much like a car's yearly MOT, but with a lot more detail, to ensure it's safe to fly for the next 12 months.
While the checks are carried out, it does mean the famous yellow and green helicopter is grounded, but paramedic crews are still getting out in the critical care response vehicles if needed.
The service is also getting support from neighbouring air ambulances, like Hampshire and Devon & Somerset, if there's an emergency that's needs to be reached that way.
