'Violent assault' on Salisbury's Fisherton Street

The victim needed hospital treatment for the injuries he suffered.

The attack happened close to the Royal Mail depot in Fisherton Street at around 5:20pm on Monday 21st September.

A man was allegedly pushed to the ground after an argument with another male, who then punched and kicked him in the face.

This left the victim with a broken nose and a fractured eye socket and cheek bone which he was treated for at Salisbury District Hospital.

Wiltshire Police have now released an image of a person they would like to identify in connection with this incident.

"We are appealing for any witnesses to this particularly violent attack in broad daylight.

The victim suffered significant injuries and this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.

We are looking for any information on the man pictured or for any witnesses to the incident to come forward, especially if they have dash cam footage or video on their mobile phone that could shed light on what happened."
