Officers received a call on Monday (29th November) to a report of a car driving erratically around the Centenary Pavilion Football, Cricket & Rugby pitches, at Archers Gate in Amesbury.

Neighbourhood and Response Team officers were at scene within two minutes and located the vehicle nearby on Archers Way, with three occupants.

The vehicle was seized and recovered along with a small amount of cannabis, with an 18-year-old man given a Cannabis Street Warning and reported for having no insurance.

Inspector Tina Osborn said:

This type of anti-social behaviour has been reported to us several times during the past year.

“The pitches are a great community asset and we won’t tolerate this type of mindless behaviour.

“If you have any concerns or witness this type of activity, don’t hesitate to report it to us by calling 101.”
