Vaccines administered in every care home in Wiltshire

Visits have been made to carry out the jabs

Every care home in Wiltshire has had some vaccines administered in their buildings, the county's CCG has confirmed.

However, not all residents have received their first jab.

This could be down to a number of reasons like them being ill at the time of the visit or self isolating due to the virus.

Milford House Care Home in Salisbury got their visit earlier this month and created a short video of their experience:

More visits will be made to give the vaccine to those care home residents who haven't yet been jabbed.

HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE RECEIVED VACCINES IN OUR AREA?

In the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire area 85.6% of people over the age of 80 have been given their first dose of the vaccine, as of the 24th January.

This is equal to 43,077 people aged 80 or above.

The latest NHS figures also show that 49,280 people under the age of 80 have also been given their jab in our area.

Meanwhile, 7,243 people in total have received their second dose of the injection.
