Two people charged after flat burglary in Salisbury

They will both appear in court next month.

Two women have been charged with a number of offences after a burglary at a flat in Salisbury.

Corinne Burgwin, 40 of Pembroke Road in Salisbury, was arrested and charged with seven offences, including:

  • Two counts of dwelling burglaries
  • Three counts of fraud
  • Two counts of shoplifting

She appeared at court last week and has been remanded in custody.

Burgwin will next appear at Salisbury Crown Court on Wednesday November 4th.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Scutt, 43 of Batchelor Way in Downton, was arrested and charged with shoplifting, fraud and handling stolen goods.

Scutt is due to appear at Crown Court on November 11th.

The arrests relate to an incident, that occurred shortly after 5pm on 30th September at an address in Catherine Street, where two bank cards and cash was stolen from a wallet and then later used at two shops.
