Two men arrested after Chippenham drug offences
Two men have been arrested by Wiltshire police following intelligence-led policing in Chippenham.
A drug search was carried out of a vehicle that had been stopped, and located inside was a large amount of cash and drugs.
The driver, a 24-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely cocaine, and money laundering.
As a result of this arrest, a second vehicle was stopped in Corsham and a 27-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and money laundering.
The two men have since been bailed while enquiries continue.
DC Golledge from Corsham NPT said: “This was excellent intelligence-led policing which resulted in two people being arrested and cash and drugs seized.
“We rely on the public to report any suspicious activity that they see, which we then act upon.
“Information can be left online or with your local NPT.”
