UPDATED: Two people charged following Homington burglary

The initial crime was reported to Wiltshire Police through their website

Two people have been charged in connection with a burglary in a South Wiltshire village.

The crime happened in Homington on Wednesday afternoon (17th May) and initially reported to Wiltshire Police through their website.

Officers identified a vehicle that was potentially involved and arrested a man and a woman.

Stolen property has also been recovered.

Wiltshire Police now tell us 53 year old Anne Marie Hewitt from Blandford Road, Coombe Bissett, and 33 year old Sonnie Kerley from Bishop Row, Longhedge, have been been charged with burglary.

They've been remanded in custody to appear before Swindon Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday 20th May).

“Burglaries are a Force priority as we understand how invasive and traumatic a crime it is.

“We are pleased to have swiftly identified two people involved in this offence and they are currently in custody for questioning.

“I’d also like to thank the local community for their assistance with regard to this investigation.
