Two arrested after drums of cooking oil found in Old Sarum van

Police are trying to trace where the oil might have come from

Two large drums of cooking oil have been discovered in a van on the outskirts of Salisbury - with police believed it may have been stolen.

The discovery on Sunday morning (11th September) at Old Sarum Airfield Industrial Estate, when a white Vauxhall Combo van was found with a blown tyre.

Officers say they're not sure how the victims of a cooking oil theft are, and are asking businesses that may have been affected to get in touch with them.

There's also an appeal for people to pass on any information about the van, which has a blue strip running along the bottom, being used in suspicious circumstances.

Two men, both aged 21 and from London, have been arrested on suspicion of theft and bailed while enquiries are ongoing.
