Two arrested after speeding and hitting pedestrian
The vehicle was stopped by police after a pursuit
Two men have been arrested after driving at excessive speed and hitting a pedestrian.
Yesterday (11/06) a vehicle was spotted going at excessive speed, before colliding with a member of the public on the Range Road between Bulford and Tidworth.
The pedestrian sustained a minor injury, before a stinger could be released by police.
After a pursuit from officers, the vehicle came to a halt, colliding with a van and then an unmarked police vehicle on the A338 near Tidworth cemetery.
The two occupants of the car were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
A quantity of suspected class A drugs was subsequently found in the car.
The driver, a 30-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drink driving, aggravated taking a vehicle without consent, driving while disqualified and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The front seat passenger, a 31-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated taking a vehicle without consent and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Both suspects are currently in police custody.
