Two arrested after collision and altercation in Downton

Two people were arrested following a collision this morning, which led to a altercation on the A338 in Downton.

Police were called to the area shortly after 10am following a report of a collision involving two vehicles – a BMW 320 and a Honda Civic.

An argument is then believed to have broken out between the occupants of the vehicles and a physical altercation took place on the road side.

  • A 27-year-old man from Tisbury has been arrested on suspicion of affray, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
  • A 21-year-old man from Romsey have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

Both were taken to Melksham custody for further questioning.

Police are now hoping the public can help with their investigations and they're asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
