Two arrested after altercation in Salisbury

Police are now hoping someone may have witnessed what happened.

Two people have been arrested after a fight took place in Salisbury yesterday (Monday 19th October).

At around 10:10pm, an altercation broke out near the old Debenham's store on Blue Boar Row.

Traffic was forced to stop at one point when it spilled out into the road.

A 17 year-old and 18 year-old, both local men, were arrested after the incident and taken to Melksham custody.

The fight took place just outside of the old Debenhams store in Salisbury

Wiltshire Police are now hoping witnesses to the fight will come forward and help with their investigation.

Local Crime Investigator Jody Kinge said:

"We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen this incident yesterday evening.

Numerous vehicles passed the individuals involved and at one point those fighting stumbled into the road causing vehicles to stop.

If you heard or saw anything suspicious in this busy area of the city around this time yesterday please come forward; also, if you have any dashcam footage of the incident then please contact us."
