A truck was seized in Netheravon after residents were concerned about two people going door to door.

They were in a flatbed truck knocking on doors and offering gardening services.

Concerned residents alerted police feeling unsure about them and concerns for vulnerable neighbours.

Officers arrived and was located in Hales Road and the two people were spoken to about their work.

It was noted the people were not complying with trading standards regulations and were asked to leave the area.

Routine checks also showed the vehicle was untaxed and had been since September 2021.

The vehicle was seized using the powers devolved to police by the DVLA.

PC Blake said:

"We would like to thank neighbours for their vigilance today and for calling us. We would also like to ask people to remain vigilant and be aware of people knocking on your door and asking for work. Please continue to report suspicious activity to us via 101."
