Start date for construction of new Trowbridge leisure centre announced

Work begins in early April

A start date for construction of Trowbridge's new leisure centre has been confirmed by Wiltshire Council.

Building works with begin on Monday 7th April, with the work being carried our be Pellikaan Construction.

The new facility is being built on the Council's East Wing site and as a result, the car park at 'the Asda-end' of the site will be unavailable to the public.

It's often used in the evenings and at weekends.

Construction traffic will access the site via the main entrance just off the mini roundabout opposite County Hall and there should not be any disruption to the public while this first phase of the project gets underway. The council will provide further updates for the duration of the project.  

Parvis Khansari, Wiltshire Council Corporate Director - Place, said: "Work on the new Trowbridge Leisure Centre will formally get underway in April and we'll make sure to provide regular updates as this project continues."
