Police in Trowbridge are investigating an affray incident, in which a man's believed to have been threatened with metal poles.

We're told four people were ejected from the 7 Days supermarket in Wicker Hill at around 10.00am on Saturday (22nd March).

The manager asked them to leave as they were suspected of shoplifting.

Outside the store, a man was seen kicking the outside of the suspects' car - a VW Passat.

The people inside got out, and were involved in an altercation with the man, with two metal poles taken out of the boot and used in a threatening manner.

The suspects got back into the vehicle and drove away.

There's now an appeal for any witnesses to the incident to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 54250035115.

It's believed the area was busy at the time, with a number of other vehicles passing by.

Anonymous reports can also be given to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
