Tributes paid to motorcyclist in Chitterne crash
Her family say she was the "model of love, generosity and kindness"
Tributes have been paid to a motorcyclist who sadly died in a road traffic collision in Chitterne, Wiltshire, last month.
Helen Bater, who was in her 50s, was involved in a collision on the B390 between Chitterne and Shrewton, when her bike crashed with a stationary van, causing her to fall off.
She was then struck by an coach coming from the opposite direction and died at the scene, at around 2:25pm on the 17 September.
Her family have released a heartfelt public statement in her memory:
“Helen, also known as ‘H’ or ‘Nanny Nutta’ by those close to her, was the model of love, generosity and kindness.
“Her individuality has left lasting fond memories with our family and everyone she met.
“We are privileged and honoured to have had her company for the time that we did.
“A best and most loyal friend has been stolen.”
Wiltshire Police say their thoughts are with Helen’s family and friends.
Her funeral will be held at 11:30am at Holy Saviour Church, Westbury Leigh on Thursday 20 October. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects are welcome.
