Friends and Family pay tribute to "shining star" killed in Wiltshire
Rosa Taylor's father said she was the "most loving soul I’ve ever known"
A teenager who lost her life in a car crash in Wiltshire last week has been described as “a shining star" and “the greatest friend anyone could have asked for”, by those who knew her.
19-year-old Rosa Taylor, from Upholland in Lancashire, died after the car she was travelling in collided with a lorry on the A4 Bath Road.
She was travelling to a theatre show in Corsham when the crash happened.
Rosa's dad, Gareth Taylor said: "Anyone who knew Rosa would agree that she was the most beautiful person inside and out.
"She was the very definition of a spirit that shines brightly and dies young, loved by anyone who met her. She was at once the most talented, most beautiful, and most loving soul I’ve ever known."
Described as a theatre kid from birth, Rosa played lead roles at the Artz Centre in Skelmersdale before heading to the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) Sixth Form College to study Musical Theatre.
She also performed with Liverpool Empire Youth Theatre in productions such as Legally Blonde: The Musical and had recently she performed in Wow Liverpool’s WOW That’s What I Call Musicals at the Liverpool Playhouse, before hitting the road in July as the lead in the Beggars Belief Collective production of SCRUMPTIOUS!.
Alongside her studies and shows, Rosa worked as a professional entertainer with PICK’N’MIX Parties in Liverpool where she performed at children’s parties, becoming beloved characters like Ariana Grande, Aladdin’s Jasmine, and Beauty and The Beast’s Belle to put a smile on young kids' faces.
When she wasn’t performing, Rosa could be found serving guests at Briar’s Hall Hotel in Ormskirk.
Rosa will be remembered as “a shining star,” “the greatest friend anyone could have asked for,” and the “most naturally gifted performer you had ever seen.”
