Tribute paid to man who died in A303 crash near Shipton Bellinger

The family of a man who died in a crash on the A303 near Shipton Bellinger have paid tribute to him.

Andrew Shanahan, of Churchill Way in Basingstoke, passed away after a collision just after 7:30am on the 28th of January.

His Volkswagen Scirocco collided with a Volkswagen Luton Van.

Despite efforts by the emergency services, the 29 year old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Andrew's family said:

"Andrew was a loving son and brother who was making plans for the future with his dear girlfriend.

We are heartbroken.

Andrew will be missed by his wider family and friends. He had great character and a terrific sense of humour and that is how we will all remember him."

Hampshire Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident and are hoping the public may be able to help.

They want anyone who may have been in the area at the time to check their dashcam footage of before or after the incident.
