A recent rogue trading incident in Laverstock has prompted Wiltshire Trading Standards officers to warn others about the risks.

They were joined by Wiltshire Police to visit households in Potters Way.

Residents were given advice to avoid falling victim to rogue traders and doorstep crimes.

Trading Standards in the county say there's been a rise in incidents in Wiltshire recently, put down to the better weather.

Officers said in a social media post:

"Please keep an eye out for neighbours having work carried out. If you think it looks suspicious, then please call 0808 223 1133 or contact the Police on 101."

The service is also offering 'no cold calling' stickers for Wiltshire homes, available through their Facebook page.
