GE2024: Tories retain the local blue wall

All of our seats have remained Conservative, but with smaller majorities

The results of the General Election in our parts of Wiltshire and Hampshire have seen far fewer shocks than other parts of the country.

All the seats here were Tory going into the vote, and remain so afterwards as well.

Salisbury's John Glen has seen his majority cut to just 4,000 this time, but keeps the seat he's held for 14 years.

East Wiltshire is a new constituency this time, taking in Amesbury, Shrewton and Tilshead - as well as the old Devizes patch including Tidworth, Bulford, Ludgershall and up past Marlborough to the south of Swindon.

Danny Kruger's been elected for that seat, continuing on from the Devizes area.

We've seen no changes in the Test Valley either - with Caroline Nokes re-elected for the Romsey constituency which includes Stockbridge, the Wallops and West Wellow.

Kit Malthouse stays in place for the North West Hampshire area, which includes Weyhill, Thurxton and into Andover.

In the New Forest West area, Desmond Swayne has been chosen to keep representing the area including Fordingbridge.

Andrew Murrison has been elected again for South West Wiltshire, and in North Dorset, which includes Sixpenny Handley, it's still Conservative Simon Hoare.
