Tidworth's Early Early Christmas Fair to be replaced after 30 years
It will now be the Eat Nourish Love Autumn Fair
After 30 years, one of South Wiltshire's most well-known events has run its course, according to its organiser.
Tidworth's Early Early Christmas Fair is being replaced by a new event in September this year by the Eat Nourish Love (ENL) Autumn Fair.
It will be held on 24th and 25th September at Tedworth Park.
Organiser Caroline Cary told us the event had 'had its day' and 'things change'.
She said the new ENL event would have a familiar feel to it, as well as some new features.
"There's not going to be much change but we're going curate some lovely ideas and that are inspirational people."
The hope is to bring in another demographic to the fair as well as giving people inspiration, with a tent being set up for talks from special guest.
Around six to eight guest speakers are expected, although none have been revealed at the time of writing.
Caroline added that the aim of the fair is to encourage health and wellbeing, which she said was important for a town with strong military presence.
She said the fair will retain the strong community feel it had before.
"So many people rely on this event and have relied on this event, there's still such a demand there for it," she said, adding that small businesses are also keen to get involved.
The event will support a chosen charity, in much the same way as the Early-Early Christmas Fair did.
"Eat Nourish Love will always support good causes," Caroline said, "It's something I've always believed in."
This year's chosen charity is Walking with the Wounded.
