Search warrants have been carried out at addresses in Amesbury and Winterslow, with police arresting three people and seizing five cars.

A Range Rover Sport and BMW were among the vehicles recovered in the early morning raids yesterday (10th October).

Two men, aged 27, and a man aged 56, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles.

The trio were taken to Melksham custody for questioning and have been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Inspector Tina Osborn from Wiltshire Police said:

“These two early morning warrants were executed by neighbourhood officers following information received from the public.

"We acted quickly after receiving this information and during this significant operation, which saw us working alongside specialist ops and partner agencies including Datatag, have recovered five high value vehicles, and made three arrests which is excellent work.

"Hopefully this provides reassurance to the victims that we will work tirelessly to identify those responsible and locate the vehicles stolen.”

Further enquiries will be carried out in relation to the possible thefts.
