Three people have been arrested in Salisbury, on suspicion of drug supply.

They were in a car stopped by officers from Wiltshire Police's Fortitude Team on Ashley Road at around 2.45am yesterday (Thursday 23rd February).

A quantity of suspected Class A and B drugs were found in a bag on the rear seat of the car.

Two men, aged 23 and 33 and a 21 year old woman, all from Salisbury, were taken into custody.

The driver of the car also tested positive for drugs during a roadside check, and further arrested on suspicion of drug driving, and driving without insurance.

Detective Sergeant Ted Roe said:

“We will not hesitate to take robust action against those we suspect of dealing in drugs. Dealing can bring untold misery and damage to our communities.

"If you suspect drug offences are taking place in your area, please call us on 101. In an emergency always call 999.”

The Fortitude Team at Wiltshire Police is focused on tackling serious and organised crime across the county.
