Three arrested and cash and drugs seized after pursuit ends with crash in Amesbury
Trio detained after vehicle crashed on A303

Three people have been arrested after a pursuit which resulted in a vehicle crashing on the A303 near Amesbury yesterday (9th November).
Officers received intelligence about a grey Audi, which had been seen leaving Erlestoke Prison and was spotted on the A360 by Ministry of Defence Police at around 3pm.
Both MoD officers and Wiltshire Police officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it made off from police and a pursuit was authorised, with the Audi eventually coming to a stop, crashing on the A303 close to the Countess Way roundabout.
Three people made off from the car, but were located in and around Countess Way by police officers searching the area.
A quantity of drugs, cash and a knife have been seized.
Three arrests were made:
- A 20-year-old woman from London was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, failing to stop for police, failing to provide a specimen, dangerous driving and money laundering.
- A 21-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug and possession of a knife in a public place.
- A 20-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.
All three are currently in custody at Melksham Police Station.
Sergeant James Osment, from the Amesbury Community Policing Team, said:
"This incident highlighted the excellent partnership working between the MoD Police and Wiltshire Police, and a variety of teams within the Force, including Community Policing Team officers and those from Specialist Operations.
"We were also supported by the National Police Air Service.
"Thankfully nobody was injured during the pursuit, but a section of the A303 did have to be closed for a short time to allow the vehicle to be recovered and the debris to be cleared up.
"We would like to thank the local community for their patience while this incident was dealt with."
