The popularity of Salisbury's Christmas Tree Festival shows no signs of waning, with £20,000 raised at this year's event.

Over 100 decorated trees - each designed by a local school, charity, business or organisation - filled the city's St Thomas's Church for a week at the start of December.

Over 12,000 people went through the doors to see the festive displays, from across Wiltshire but also as far away as Canada and Australia!

Entry was free, with donations taken in as visitors left the church.

This year's Festival was in support of two local charities - Salisbury's branch of Alzheimer's Support and the Salisbury Church for the Homeless.

Each cause has now been given a cheque for £7,000, with the remainder of the fundraising going back into St Thomas's.

Across the Festival, more than 1,000 local musicians and singers helped to entertain those going along.

Organisers are already planning next year's event, which will be the 20th edition.
