A special event is to be held in Salisbury for the victims of last year's train crash and the emergency workers who attended the scene.
A 'critical incident' was declared on October 31st after a South Western Railway and Great Western Railway service collided on the approach to Fisherton Tunnel.
Both trains, carrying 200 passengers between them, derailed.
13 passengers needed hospital treatment with the driver of one of the services left with 'life changing injuries' whilst thirty people attended a casualty centre set up at St Mark's Church.
Salisbury City Council has announced today that the Mayor,Caroline Corbin, will host a 'thank-you' event for those involved to pay tribute to their courage.
The event will take place at Salisbury Guildhall at 2pm on Thursday 21st April.
Passengers or a member of the emergency services who assisted in the response to the collision who would like to attend should contact corporate@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk by Tuesday 12 April.
Crushed leaves on the tracks are believed to have caused the accident.
A preliminary report by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch, published in February, found a special train due to clear the leaves had been delayed due to engineering works.
