A 15-year-old boy, who was walking home with a friend, has been punched and chased by a group of seven or eight males aged between 17 and 20.

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

It happened in the car park of Waitrose, on Churchill Way West, at around 10.15pm on Thursday 13th May.

One of them punched him twice to the back of the head, and the group chased him in the direction of Ashley Road.

The group then walked off in the direction of Churchill Way West.

PC Sarah Moth, from the Salisbury Area Community Policing Team, said: “Thankfully the boy wasn’t seriously injured, but it was a frightening incident.

“I would like to hear from anyone who was in the car park around the time of the incident and may have seen this group.

“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who might have dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries.”

Anyone with information should call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference 54210045682.
