AMESBURY: Teenager knocked to the ground by car in hit and run

A teenage girl was knocked over by a car in Amesbury while on the way to school.

At approximately 8.20am on January 20th, the 14-year-old was in collision with a black car in Holders Road.

As a result of the collision, the girl fell to the ground and sustained significant bruising to her hip and rib area which has worsened over the past few days.

The driver of the vehicle involved did not check on the girl’s welfare and did not stop or leave details.

The incident happened in Holders Road

Police are now hoping someone may have witnessed the incident and can help with their investigation.

Anyone drivers in the area who may have dashcam footage of the incident is being asked to call the force on 101 and quote crime reference number 54220008106.
