A 17 year old boy has been attacked in the centre of Salisbury, following an 'altercation'.

Wiltshire Police tell us male juveniles were seen arguing outside Tesco on Castle Street at around 1.20pm on Friday afternoon (4th March).

The argument continued into St Thomas's Square where the blade was used.

Luckily the victim suffered only minor injuries.

Officers have arrested an 18 year old man on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and conspiracy to commit GBH; and a 15 year old boy on suspicion of GBH.

Both of them have been released on conditional bail while enquiries are ongoing.

There's an appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.

If you can help, you're asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting log number 149 of Friday (4th March).
