A teenage girl has been grabbed in broad daylight while walking through Salisbury.

She was going through the underpass between St Martin’s Church Street and Payne’s Hill at around 2pm on Tuesday (18th January).

She heard someone run up behind her beforehand, and then felt the hand on her arm.

The girl managed to run away and did not get a description of the man.

PC Sarah Moth, from the local policing team, said:

“The girl managed to run off, so was not injured in any way but was left shaken by what happened.

“We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed anything suspicious.”
