Teen arrested and bailed after man assaulted in Salisbury city centre

Police in Salisbury want to speak to a number of people after a man in his 50s was assaulted outside a McDonalds in the city centre.

The altercation took place on Winchester Street around 8.30pm on 6th April, with the man suffering no reported injuries.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. He's since been bailed as enquiries continue.

Officers have now issued a witness appeal, with a Wiltshire Police spokesperson saying: "There were a number of witnesses present who got involved in the altercation that left before police arrived who we would like to speak to."
