The Swedish Den café has closed saying the pandemic has forced them to close their doors.

They took to Facebook to announce the news, just over two years after they opened on Catherine Street in Salisbury.

They said:

"With a very heavy heart and as a consequence of the pandemic, we have sadly been forced to close the Swedish Den.

Thank you for all the wonderful support you have shown us. We hope you have enjoyed our Swedish flair.

So now it's 'Tack och hej' (thanks and goodbye) from us"

They sold some traditional Swedish food like meatballs and baked goods, having opened in the spring of 2019.

Their post attracted lots of comments from local people, with people saying they will miss the café and they're sorry to hear they're closing.
