Sustainability upgrades continue at Salisbury District Hospital
Over 100 solar panels were delivered earlier this month
There was an early Christmas present at Salisbury District Hospital in the form of more than 100 solar panels as the hospital seeks to improve its decarbonisation.
They were delivered earlier this month and it took 29 crane lifts to get them all onto the roof space, taking about 3 hours.
The panels will be fully installed in early 2024.
The hospital say decarbonisation work is "going well", with the panels adding to several other upgrades of the hospital.
Two air source heat pumps and five water-to-water pumps have been received, while a smaller array of solar panels has been installed.
The hospital itself will stay warmed, with improved insulation to the walls and roof spaces, as well as upgraded windows.
Here's to a greener, and hopefully healthy, 2024!
