APPEAL: Suspected theft of handbag from Salisbury shop

It's hoped someone may have some information about the incident

It's suspected a woman had her a handbag stolen from the Dunelm store in Salisbury.

The incident happened in the Bourne Retail Park at around 2pm on New Year's Eve.

The victim momentarily placed her handbag on a display bed while she browed other items on a low shelf.

When she got back up to grab her belongings, it had gone missing.

The northbound carriageway between College and Bourne Way Roundabouts will be shut

Inside the bag was around £80 in cash, a Samsung Galaxy Flame mobile phone and keys, a further £80 in Marks and Spencer vouchers and credit/debit cards.

The handbag is distinctive, dark green and decorated with beige horses. It contained a red/brown coloured leather purse.
