The sunflower maze at Long Close Park in the village opened in August, with the money from tickets going to the Salisbury District Hospital charity.

It was created by Steph and Rob Greville-Heygate, who wanted to give something back to the Children's Team the our local hospital as they'd had multiple experiences there with their own children.

The maze in Downton was set up in support of the Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital

The maze has brought in a total of £1,736.99 for the Stars Appeal, which has now been given to the charity.

They need to raise £1 million each year for projects across Salisbury District Hospital that go above and beyond what the NHS is able to provide.

The fundraising is made even more incredible, given the suggested donation from those visiting was just £1 or £2.

Tickets were also only available to those in Downton and the surrounding villages.
