A trial date has been set for two people accused of spraying orange powder on Stonehenge.

Niamh Lynch, 22, of Norfolk Road in Bedford and Rajan Naidu, 73, Gosford Street in Birmingham appeared at Salisbury Crown Court in Salisbury on Wednesday (29th January).

They've been charged with destroying or damaging an ancient protected monument, and intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance.

Both only spoke to confirm their names and pleas of not guilty.

The pair are suspected of being involved in a Just Stop Oil protest on 19th June 2024 at Stonehenge, hours ahead of Summer Solstice celebrations.

Mr Naidu and Ms Lynch will next appear at Winchester Crown Court ahead of a scheduled 10 day trial, beginning on Monday 20th October.
