The Stars Appeal is calling on its more intrepid supporters to join them on a trek to Colombia next year, in the latest of their fundraising trips.

The charity's held four previous events, bringing more than £400,000 into their coffers, towards equipment and projects at Salisbury District Hospital.

In April 2024, adventurers will make their way to South America, and make their way to the Lost City of Teyuna, through steep and muddy trails, lush jungle and river valleys.

Trekkers will see some incredible sights in Colombia next April

It'll be hot and humid too, with rain likely, and walking up to 12 hours a day.

But the treks are renowned for their camaraderie, while raising money for a good cause.

The Stars Appeal needs to bring in £1 million each year for their work to enhance care for patients across all wards and departments of our hospital and support the NHS staff who care for them.

Once again, the trek is being organised by Coombe Bissett's Discover Adventure, who are experts in fundraising challenges, and ran the previous Stars Appeal treks to the Grand Canyon, Machu Picchu, Great Wall of China and Petra.

Potential trekkers will be able to find out more at an Information Evening in Salisbury on Wednesday 28th September.

There's more information on the Stars Appeal website too.
