New surgical microscope unveiled at Salisbury District Hospital
It's been funded by donations to the Stars Appeal
A new state-of-the-art surgical microscope has been brought in for Salisbury District Hospital.
It's been funded thanks to donations to the Stars Appeal.
The kit will mean medical staff can take better images of things like damage to nerves and tendons and see how surgery to repair them has gone.
The Stars Appeal charity say this donation forms part of a £190,000 project at SDH to provide a new dedicated plastic surgery operating theatre with specialist equipment throughout.
That will mean patients will be able to treated within a day, rather than having to spend a number of nights at the hospital.
