Fans of Starbucks could be in for a treat as the chain looks to be making a return to Salisbury.

It's been almost two years since the city centre branch in Silver Street shut, whilst the store on Southampton Road closed on Sunday (10th April).

A spokesperson told Greatest Hits Radio:

"We look forward to bringing the Starbucks Experience to customers in Salisbury in the near future and will be in touch once we have more specific plans to share.

No details of any possible location were confirmed but there's speculation the company could go into empty premises on the Market Square.

Meanwhile Costa Coffee will be taking over the premises vacated by Starbucks at Salisbury's Dolphin Retail Park.

A spokesperson for the company said;

"We’re delighted to confirm that a new Costa Coffee store will open on the Dolphin Retail Estate, Southampton Road in Salisbury in late May 2022. We look forward to opening our new store and hope the space provides members of the local community with a place to take some time out of their busy day to sit back, relax with their favourite Costa coffee while meeting up with friends and family members. We look forward to sharing further information on this new store in due course."

The addition will mean the company has three branches in Salisbury.
