Some famous names have been announced for a run of a new thriller play that comes to Salisbury Playhouse this October.

Tom Chambers, who starred in Holby City, Waterloo Road, and won Strictly Come Dancing, will appear in the lead role of Danny.

He'll be joined by former Coronation Street and Mrs Brown's Boys star, Susie Blake, who'll play Mrs Bateman.

The play focusses Danny Sierra and his extended family who are involved in a car crash on their way to an isolated holiday cottage on New Year's Eve.

The ghost story by acclaimed writer Torben Betts will thrust you into darkness and have you on the edge of your seats until the final chilling twist.

It arrives at Salisbury Playhouse from 2nd to 7th October 2023.

The production's being directed by actor Philip Franks, famous for roles in The Darling Buds of May and Heartbeat. He said:

“Horror films have been my guilty pleasure since I was a morbid child. Now is the time to find out whether many years’ worth of jump scares and terrible nightmares can be put to good use. We’ll also see whether my more adult theory – that horror often puts its finger on what worries us most as a society at any given time – will also hold true.“
