Salisbury's Southampton Road shut for two nights

Diversion routes have been put in place for motorists

The A36 Southampton Road in Salisbury is to be shut for the next two nights, 8pm-6am.

Highways England are carrying out work which is part of their streetlighting improvement scheme.

This means that from tonight (Monday 1st February) until the Wednesday morning (3rd) the northbound carriageway between Bourne Way and College roundabouts will be shut.

Meanwhile, southbound between College Roundabout and Tollgate Road will be closed as well.

Diversion routes have been put in place via the A338, A31 and A36.

FURTHER CLOSURES

More roads are going to be shut later in the week due to the streetlighting scheme.

Overnight between the same times, the exit and entry slip roads for Culver Street on Churchill Way will also be closed.

These will be in place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
