Some of Wiltshire's fire stations supporting 'Laptops for Kids'
They've teamed up with a computer company in the county

Fire stations in Pewsey and Salisbury are urging the public to donate working laptops or tablets so they can help less fortunate children in the area.
Donations points have been set up in both stations for anyone wishing to hand in their device.
They will then be given to Wiltshire company Green Machine Computers who will professionally remove all data and refresh it so it's ready to support a child in need.
Station Manager Dave Adamson said:
"We are very pleased to be able to support such an important initiative by providing local donation points. If you would like to donate some tech to this cause, you can do so to any of the listed stations on Monday evenings between 6-9pm. If you do arrive at the same time as someone else, please make sure you make space to keep everyone safe."
There's been a rise in demand for refurbished laptops so that children can easily work from home during the pandemic.
Simon Crisp from Green Machine Computers added:
"We are very pleased that Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service can support and help children get access to tech at home and reduce digital poverty."
DONATE MONEY INSTEAD
If you don't have any tech you can give in at the stations, there is still a way you can support the cause.
Green Machine Computers have set up a Just Giving page with all the money being used to cover costs of software installation, hard drive replacements and screen repairs.
