Wiltshire soldier charged after car hits two pedestrians in Salisbury

A man has been charged with two counts of Grievous Bodily Harm after a car struck two pedestrians in Salisbury on Sunday night (27th March).
Cameron David Bailey from Mooltan Barracks, Tidworth has also been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously.
The 25 year old appeared before South East Wiltshire Remand Court today (Tuesday 29th March) where he was refused bail and remanded in custody.
A man and woman, both described by Wiltshire Police as 'young adults,' were hurt after a blue Skoda struck them around 9.45pm.
The extent of their injuries hasn't been revealed but officers say they were 'not life changing'.
The MOD have issued a brief statement;
"We can confirm that Fusilier Cameron Bailey was arrested on 27th March following an incident in Salisbury and was subsequently charged with two counts of Grievous Bodily Harm and one count of Dangerous Driving.
"It would be inappropriate for us to comment further."
Cameron Bailey is next due to appear before Salisbury Crown Court on Friday 22nd April.
