Wiltshire firefighters save two Tortoises before meeting a python

They met the snake after extinguishing a fire in the Tortoises home

Firefighters from Dorset and Wiltshire were called to a very different shout this weekend.

They attended a fire at the home of a python and two Toirtoises.

The two Tortoises were saved from the fire

Fire crews from Verwood and Blandford were called to the property fire in Sixpenny Handley at 17:12 on Saturday 17th April.

There was fire in the property involving a carpet used in the base of a vivarium for a couple of Tortoises.

The small fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.

The Tortoises were saved and the watch manager was excited to be able to handle a python that lived at the property.
