Six people have been arrested by police in Salisbury on suspicion of immigration offices in a joint operation tackling issues in the city centre.

Immigration officers joined the Salisbury Neighbourhood Team, Wiltshire Roads Policing Unit and members of the Special Constabulary on a patrol of the city on Friday night (31st January).

They were responding to a number of complaints about road users and made proactive stops of people using electric bikes, motorbikes and car drivers.

This led to the arrest of six people and five vehicles being seized for having no insurance or offences relating to driving licenses.

An illegal e-bike was also seized.

The Neighbourhood Team work closely with Immigration, meeting regularly and sharing intelligence.
