An Amesbury photographer is getting out to the homes and businesses of South Wiltshire once again, taking pictures of festive cheer, in support of two local charities.

Simon Ward running the fifth edition of his Doorstep Snaps scheme, until December 23rd.

The idea is simple - Simon comes to households, companies or organisations and takes a picture on the doorstep, in return for donations to the Stars Appeal or Julia's House children's hospice (or both!).

Christmas jumpers, lights and decorations are actively encouraged to give the images an extra festive feel!

Since the idea first started during the Covid 19 lockdowns, and continuing last Christmas, Simon's raised over £6,800 for the charities.

That's broken down to £2,733 for Julia's House and £4,073 for the Stars Appeal.

He's hoping to break through the £7,000 barrier during the latest incarnation.
