An appeal to identify a man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl in a Salisbury park will feature on the BBC TV show Crimewatch Live at 11am today.(17th March)

The incident happened in Churchill Gardens on October 27th at around 2.30pm.

The victim was approached and grabbed from behind by a man near to the Salisbury Sea Cadets building.

It's hoped the appeal on national television will offer new leads in the case.

FOOTAGE RELEASED

In December Wiltshire Police released CCTV footage of the incident which was shared with the victim's consent.

Some people may find the footage upsetting.

The cyclist, a woman, has already been identified as she was the one that called police.

The suspect is described as white, middle-aged, medium build with light grey hair.

He was also wearing a smart black coat with grey or dark trousers and smart shoes.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police told Greatest Hits Radio Salisbury

"We are still actively investigating this case and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who may recognise the man caught on CCTV carrying out this assault."

Anyone with any information is urged to call Police on 101 quoting crime log 54200108088.
