A woman's been sexually assaulted outside Salisbury's Guildhall - with police looking for witnesses.

Officers say it took place around 3.00pm on 12th April, but have only just released the details.

It's alleged a man touched a woman's breasts without her consent when hugging her.

He also reportedly made inappropriate comments towards other people, including young girls.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a black top and beige cargo trousers with a black beanie.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and since released on police bail.

LCI Lacey from Wiltshire South Volume Crime Team said:

"The incident took place in the afternoon of April 12th on the Guildhall steps.

"The man is believed to have been intoxicated and making sexual comments and signs to quite a few people. If you were approached by this man, we would like to hear from you as we continue to investigate what happened."
