A second woman has died in hospital, following an incident in Market Lavington.

Wiltshire Police were called to a property in White Street on Monday evening (31st July), after concerns for the welfare of a woman in her 90s.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second woman in her 50s, who lived at the property but not related to the first woman, suffered a medical episode and was taken to hospital.

She's since passed away there.

Both of the deaths are being treated as 'unexplained' but officers say they're not looking for anyone else, and don't believe there's any third party involvement.

Police are also awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination on the woman in her 90s, and are preparing a file for the coroner.
