More than 70 people are taking part in a Santa Fun Run in Salisbury today (4th December).

Participants, dressed as Father Christmas, will take on a 5k route starting and finishing at Salisbury Cathedral.

It's in aid of Naomi House and Jacks Place children's hospice.

Charlotte Patrick is the charity's Senior Events Fundraiser:

“This is the first time we’ve put on a Santa Fun Run fundraising event in Salisbury. We’re thrilled by the local supporters who have signed up to don a Santa suit, run 5k and raise vital funds for our hospices, Naomi House & Jacksplace. The Santa’s taking part in this fun run are helping support life-limited children and young adults, as well as their families, across the Central South of England. Good luck to all the runners and we’ll look forward to seeing you again this time next year!”

To get in the festive spirit there's even a snow cannon at the finish and of course a shiny Santa themed medal.
